In Gumboro disease control, the importance of humoral immunity is fully understood. But what are the true practical implications in the field? What purpose do ELISA kits serve?
In this study we determined the effects on the bursa of Fabricius induced by Hipragumboro® GM97 in comparison with two commercial Gumboro vaccines of the same category intermediate plus.
The Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) represents one of the main health threats for the poultry industry, mainly due to the severe immunosuppression induced by the virus (IBDV) in the affected birds.
GUMBOHATCH® is a new immune-complex vaccine against Infectious bursal disease (IBD) developed by HIPRA (Spain).
The present multicenter, positive-controlled and blind clinical trial was performed with the aim to evaluate its safety and efficacy when administered in ovo under field conditions in Brazil.
GUMBOHATCH® is a new immune-complex vaccine against Infectious bursal disease (IBD) developed by HIPRA (Spain).
The present multicenter, positive-controlled and blind clinical trial was performed with the aim to evaluate its safety and efficacy when administered in ovo under field conditions in Europe.
Slow-growing broiler breeds are generally considered more susceptible to adverse reactions when administered with immune complex based vaccines against IBD than conventional breeds. In particular, it is mentioned that these effects could even increase flock mortality. The objective of this study was to test experimentally the safety of a new immune complex based vaccine against IBDV when administered subcutaneously in slow-growing broilers in experimental conditions.
GUMBOHATCH® is a new immune-complex vaccine against Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) developed by HIPRA (Spain). The intended use of the vaccine is to protect chicks once the maternal antibody levels start to drop.
The objective of this trial was to assess the efficacy of GUMBOHATCH® in broiler chickens after an experimental challenge with a high dose of a very virulent IBD virus (vvIBDV) strain.
The objective of this study is to compare the serological evolution of serum samples from broilers wit maternal immunity from different farms in France that were subsequently vaccinated. To do this, four commercially available kits were used: CIVTEST AVI IBD (HIPRA), ELISA-I ELISA-S and ELISA-B; all of them are indirect ELISA kits.
